Who it suits

Mocha is the brown that behaves like a neutral. The cool undertone stops it going muddy on olive and wheatish skin, and it does not fight a mehndi stain the way a cold pink can. Office weeks, school runs, dinner at the in laws: it reads considered rather than done up. Short squoval keeps the whole thing quiet.

Wearing it

A mid brown is fully opaque, so regrowth becomes visible sooner than it would on a milky nude. It still grows out politely, because brown sits close to the natural shadow of the nail bed.
