Who it suits

Navy gives you a dark nail without the hardness of black. On deeper skin it reads rich and blue rather than flat; on fairer hands it looks almost inky. It sits well with silver jewellery and with the blues and greys people wear in winter. A short squoval keeps it from feeling heavy, which is why it works for everyday rather than only for evenings.

Wearing it

Dark opaque colour is not forgiving about regrowth, so the gap at the cuticle shows up clearly against your natural nail. Gel sets are usually refreshed around every two to three weeks, and navy is the sort of shade you will notice at that point. Chips read obviously too. If that bothers you, ask in the DM for navy on two nails with a nude on the rest.
