Who it suits

Matte charcoal with a glossy tip in the same colour is a French you only notice when the light moves. There is no colour contrast at all, only texture, which makes it quietly interesting instead of graphic. Short square nails keep the edges crisp. A strong option for someone who wants black but finds a plain black nail too flat.

Oil marks show on a matte finish, so put hand cream on the skin and let it absorb before you touch anything. Black is opaque, so growth at the base shows up clearly.
