Before choosing a design, think about how you use your hands. If you type, cook or work with your hands often, tell your nail artist. Explain the length you already feel comfortable wearing rather than choosing only from a photo.
You do not need to know every nail-shape name. Point out what you like in a reference and ask what can be adapted to your own nails.
