Who it suits

Sheer means you still see the nail through the colour, just warmed and evened out. That is exactly what a lot of first-timers want: proof that something has been done, without a shade anyone will comment on. The oval shape softens wide nail beds and short fingers. It also stays out of the way of a hospital shift or a school run.

Wearing it

Sheer colour is easy to live in. Because light passes through it, the line where the nail has grown stays blurred instead of sharp, so you never get the hard gap an opaque pink gives you.
