Nails and mehndi day: getting the order right
Fresh mehndi needs a few hours of stillness to dry, and fresh nails need careful hands. Doing both in the same afternoon puts them in each other's way. The simple fix is to have your nails finished before your mehndi is applied, ideally the day before.
If the two must share a day, do nails first and keep a gap between them. Once your set is cured and finished, mehndi can be applied around it. Applied carefully, henna stains the skin, not the nails, so a finished set sits safely beside it.
Refills when the gap between functions is long
Some families spread functions across weeks. If your baraat or walima sits well after your mehndi, the grow-out line at the base of the nail can start to show. A refill appointment in the gap keeps the set looking fresh for the later photos.
