Simple is the low-stress choice
Shaadi season in Lahore means several functions in a few weeks, sometimes in one week. Your nails have to survive all of them, plus daily life in between. A simple gel colour or a classic French is easier to live with than an elaborate set.
Simple does not mean plain. A well-shaped set in one good colour reads as polished in every photo, and gel usually wears around two to three weeks, which can carry you through a run of functions.
Choose one colour that works across outfits
Guests rarely wear one outfit through the season. If you pick a nail colour tied to a single dress, it can clash at the next function. Neutrals, soft pinks, creams and muted golds sit comfortably beside most shaadi colours.
If you want something deeper, maroons and berry tones are forgiving too. Think about the two or three outfits you will actually wear, then pick the colour that suits all of them.

Sometimes press-ons are the right call, and it would be dishonest to pretend otherwise. If you have one function, a tight week, or you want length for a single evening and bare nails the next morning, good press-ons do the job.
Their limits are real too. They can lift mid-event, sizing is rarely perfect, and up close they seldom photograph as cleanly as a fitted set. For a single dinner they are fine; for a week of functions they become their own chore.
When a salon set earns its place
A salon set makes sense when the season is long. One appointment covers several functions, the fit is matched to your own nails, and you stop thinking about your hands entirely.
